Pairs Handicap

All pairs to be registered players from the same club. Alternate to the table after the spin of the coin. Best of three frames. Home players have responsibility for arranging the match. 3 dates to be given. No more than 2 in one week. The winning pair is responsible for phoning the result in to the Assistant Secretary. If games are not played by the closing date, home pair will be scratched.

Individual Knockout

All rounds best of three frames. This handicap competition is open to all players registered with the Preston and District Snooker League. Home drawn will only be notified and will be responsible for arranging the match. Winner to phone the result to the Treasurer. No result be the closing date the home team will be scratched.

6 Man Knockout

Up to the quarter finals (except for a one table club). 1st four frames to be played on 2 tables, last 2 frames on one table. Semi-final and final to be played on 1 table. All games 6 frames aggregate score, home team to put to the table throughout the match. Semi-final and Final alternate put to the table. Alternate break off.

Four Man Team Knockout

The competition is open to all clubs that play in the Preston and District Snooker League.

Clubs may enter as many teams as they like, but all teams must be registered with theP&D Snooker league from the clubs from which they are registered.

Teams shall consist of four players plus one or two reserves.

Handicapping is to be done by the Committee of the P&D Snooker League

All matches to be played over four frames. Aggregate score to count. Home team to nominate the players throughout the match with alternate break. Semi-final and Final alternate put to the table. Alternate break off.

Play to start at 7.30pm and to be continuous. In the event of a team not being present at the match by 7.45pm the match shall be awarded to the opposition.

All matches to be played under the EASB rules, on full sized tables using super crystallite balls.

If, after the fourth and final frame, the match is tied, then the two players at the table shall re-spot the black and toss for break to resolve the match.

The winning team is responsible for phoning the match to the Assistant Secretary immediately after the match has been played.

The competition is a straight knockout, with the first drawn having home advantage.

Anything not covered by the rules shall be dealt with by the Committee whose decision is final in all disputes.
