Starting Balls

The shots depicted in Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4, are ones which you will regularly encounter when approaching the table to begin a break.

Often you will be required to pot a long ball to get started at the table, equally you will often be faced with these mid-table shots to begin with.

In all these examples, shots are available to begin the break but due to the layout of the rest of the reds, excellent position on the high side of the blue will be required if the break is to continue.
