Rest Play

Not many people enjoy practising with the rest, which is why not many people are very good at playing with it. Even some players who can make regular century breaks still find difficulty playing with the rest.

As a starting point for practice, try playing relatively easy shots as shown in the picture examples, using varying degrees of stun, screw, side and top.

Assess what happens to your cueing when playing with power and generally try and familiarise yourself with the some of the issues, that playing with the rest creates.
