Reds Across the Middle

Line up six or seven reds across the middle of the table and proceed to pot them as shown in the top corner pockets. Once a degree of consistency has been obtained using six reds, try with more until you are using all fifteen. (One on the blue and seven either side of it).

Steve Davis used to line up all 21 balls from one middle pocket to the other. His record is 19 successful pots.

Stephen Hendry laughingly told me had done all 21, and he had a witness. If the likes of Davis and Hendry take great pride in successfully achieving this routine, then clearly it will benefit players of lesser ability.
