Cueing
Over a Pocket
During
the course of a frame there are many instances where you may
be faced with hampered cueing.
This could be in the form of bridging over another ball, playing
from tight on the cushion, or alternatively when you are faced
with playing a shot whilst bridging over the jaws of a pocket.
The
secret of playing successfully when hampered cueing, lies
in securing and maintaining the firmness of your bridging
hand and arm. Once the left hand side of your body is firmed
up the mind can concentrate on the delivery of the cue.
Knowing
how to play such shots will only come with practise, yet few
choose to bother learning the correct approach in these awkward
situations.
We
are all built differently with different reaches and hand
sizes. Practise your approach to these shots and find a way
that works for you.
