Cannons off the Blue

The shots depicted in this routine will increase your touch and finesse around the balls. With varying degrees of screw, stun and top learn how to make the cannons shown.

In the first instance the white is above the blue. Pot blue into the middle pocket and make consecutive cannons on the reds. As your touch improves, attempt to hit the red on a chosen side.

In the second picture four reds are tight on the cushion. Using screw pot the blue and move the reds.

In the last picture the reds are again on the cushion, but positioned further down the rail. Again using screw, pot the blue and come off the top cushion to cannon the four reds. Experiment with left hand side to view the angle with which the white leaves the cushion.

All routines should then be practised using topside with the reds on the other side of the table.

The ability to manoeuvre the balls into potable positions during a break will provide you with more opportunities for bigger breaks as your game develops.
